A large and atmospheric panoramic harbor view, attributed to North German painter Carl Friedrich Windels (Bremen, 1869–1954). Steamers, sailing craft, tugs, and dockside cranes crowd a luminous port under a soft, cloud-filled sky—almost certainly a major North Sea harbor such as Bremen or Hamburg. Signed “F. Windels” lower right. Housed in a substantial carved giltwood frame.
